
Venice Beach itself is owned by the city and is known for shark’s teeth, fossils and the coral reef that’s located about one-quarter mile offshore. This beach offers restrooms, sand volleyball courts and a parking area.
Other beaches near the Inn at Venice Beach, CA include Muscle Beach and Mother’s Beach. Muscle Beach, located on the Boardwalk , is home of “The Pit”, where men and women can be seen lifting weights and working out. Mother’s Beach, located on Admiralty Way in Marina del Rey, is aptly named. Its inland beach has no surf and is a great beach spot for families with younger children.
